What defines a great leader you ask? Well a leader is someone who motivates a crowd and can move a nation with words of encouragement and wisdom. Martin Luther King was that kind of speaker. He was one of the greatest black civil rights leaders of all time. So it is only right that we as Americans pay homage to this man on the 40Th anniversary of his assassination who single handily stomp out racial oppression to open up a lot of opportunities that we didn't get easy back in the late 50's and 60's which was the time that the dream was born. A time when Rosa Parks set in to motion the wheels of equality for Dr.King to take a stand against injustice of Minorities here in the U.S. He was a Soldier of justice who went on to receive the Nobel Peace Prize in which he truly deserve. Who set forth many prominent leader later like Jesse Jackson,Al Shapton,Tavis Smiley,John Lewis,to name a few to continue the march on Washington. We love and thank you Dr.King for making this dream possible for us to continue our struggle a little easier to overcome and reminding myself and others that we still somebody.
